Moses joins West Ham on loan
West Ham on Tuesday completed the season-long loan signing of Chelsea winger Victor Moses to continue a busy start to their transfer deadline day business, Sportinglife reports.
Having already brought in Barcelona midfielder Alex Song on a similar deal, the Hammers moved to bring in Nigeria international Moses, who was also believed to be a target for Tottenham.
The 24-year-old has spent the previous two seasons out on loan with spells at Liverpool and Stoke and will now bolster Slaven Bilic’s attacking options at West Ham after penning a new four-year deal at Stamford Bridge.
West Ham co-owner David Gold also announced that the club had re-signed midfielder Alex Song on a second season-long loan from Barcelona.
Song, 27, joined the Hammers on a season-long loan deal in August 2014.
And the Hammers have again landed the former Arsenal player on loan from the Spanish giants.
Gold tweeted, “It has just been confirmed. Alex Song has signed a season-long loan deal to join West Ham. Welcome back Alex.”
Cameroon-born Song made 31 appearances for West Ham in all competitions last season.
Earlier this year he announced his international retirement, citing a wish to focus on rebuilding his domestic career with Hammers.
Song, who joined Barcelona for £15m from Arsenal in August 2012, made 65 appearances for the Catalan side prior to his first loan switch to the Hammers in 2014.
